It was a long drive from Niagara to Tobermory, around 400 kms and it took me 7 hours as the speed always changed between 30-50-70-90. Also I had some heavy rains and it was only 10 degrees C zhen I arrived there around 6 pm...
Bad weather continued the next day. It was drizling all morning. I wanted to visit the flowerpot island, but the weather was too bad for the boat to go out there. I first waked around the vilaage/port a bit and then I went to the visitor center to do the 4 km loop through the woods they offer there. Especially the walk at the boarder of the lake was beautiful with great views...
Today the weather was fine again so I could go out to the island. As the boat only left at 11.15, I first went back to the nearest look out point to take some more pics. Tobermory is a lake town and you have a great view over the water and the nearby lake, if the wather is nice...
I'm just back from the flowerpot island. Did some hiking there as well, a 3 km loop this time. They said it would take about 2 hours but after 1 hour 20 I was already back at the starting point so I took a second trail I first thought I didn't have time for...
I'm now in the library, almost have used my hour internet time so I better sign off...

BeantwoordenVerwijderenspijtig van het slechte weer maar uw vakantie wordt er niet door gestoord. Het is hier beter weer hoor 24 graden! En dit tijdens een lang weekend.
